Switching from Freeware to Trial in MSP360 Backup for Windows

Learn how to switch from the freeware license to a trial one in MSP360 Backup for Windows.

Introduction

MSP360 Backup is distributed by a licensing model, on a per-user basis. Each edition of MSP360 Backup (five in total) offers a free 15-day trial version with complete functionality and a freeware version with the most basic functionality for personal use. If you initially activated MSP360 Backup with a freeware license and now want to switch to a trial license, follow this tutorial.

Switching from Freeware to Trial in MSP360 Backup for Windows

In MSP360 Backup, switching from the freeware license to a trial one can be done in just a few clicks. Simply launch MSP360 Backup, click on the little MSP360 icon on the main toolbar, point to Licensing,  and click Switch to Trial.

You will be presented with the activation window where you need to specify your email and the product edition.

MSP360 Backup will restart itself and from then on you can start using your two-week trial.
