Introducing MSP360 Backup 2.3 for macOS & Linux

MSP360 software for Mac cloud backup and Linux cloud backup have been updated to support new Amazon S3 regions, new Microsoft Azure Archive & Cool storage tiers, and a new Linux distribution.

Support for Microsoft Azure Archive and Cool Blob Storage

Perhaps the biggest feature of MSP360 Backup 2.3 for macOS & Linux is the support for Microsoft Azure Archive and Cool blob storage tiers. Archive and Cool storage tiers offer lower capacity costs when compared to the Hot storage tier. Archive and Cool storage options are particularly useful for long-term archive storage and less-frequently accessed data, respectively.  If you're leveraging Microsoft Azure for your cloud storage, then we recommend you look into these new storage classes to see if they're a good fit based on your requirements.

In the Backup Wizard, you now have options to select Azure Archive or Cool Storage as the target storage tier.

Support for S3 Paris region

Amazon has recently introduced a new S3 region — Paris, France. MSP360 Backup for macOS & Linux has been updated to support the new region.

Support for Debian 7.11, 8.10, 9.3

Customers asked, and we delivered. MSP360 Backup for Linux has been enhanced to support Debian Linux distributions versions 7.11, 8.10, and 9.3.
