How to Activate MSP360 Products Offline via a Command Line Interface

In case that you don’t have the opportunity to activate your copy of MSP360 ExplorerMSP360 Backup, or MSP360 Drive online, you can use the offline activation.
Offline activation can be done via the command-line interface of the product, as well as via a graphical interface (check out this article for instructions).

How to Activate MSP360 Explorer via CMD

1. Click on the Windows "Start" button.

2. Type cmd.exe in the search line to run the Windows console, press "Enter".

3. Type: cd "C:\Program Files\CloudBerryLab\CloudBerry S3 Explorer PRO" to change your current folder to MSP360 Explorer PRO product installation folder.

4. Type "CloudBerry Explorer.exe" /activatelicense -k "your_license_key" -e "email" –or
to generate offline license request. Replace "your_license_key" and "email" with your actual email and license key you received when buying the product. Press "Enter" and don’t close the console.Activate MSP360 Explorer via CMD

5. Now you shall see a service key as an output.

6. Send the service key to support@msp360.com.

7. Wait for the reply. You shall receive the product activation key in the message. Copy this key and get back to the Windows console.

8. Type "CloudBerry Explorer.exe" /activatelicense -k "your_license_key" -e "email" -oa "activationkey_received" to finish the activation. Replace "your_license_key", "email" and "activationkey_received" with your actual email, license key and product activation key from the email message. If you’ve done everything correctly your MSP360 Explorer PRO shall be active now. You can start using all of its functions and features.

How to Activate MSP360 Backup Offline via CMD

1. Click on the Windows "Start" button.

2. Type cmd.exe in the search line to run the Windows console, press "Enter".

3. Type one of the following commands to change your current folder to the product installation folder for your version of MSP360 Backup.
For Desktop Edition: cd "C:\Program Files\CloudBerryLab\CloudBerry Online Backup\"
or
cd "C:\Program Files (x86)\CloudBerryLab\CloudBerry Online Backup\"How to Activate MSP360 Backup Offline via CMDFor Server Edition:
cd "C:\Program Files\CloudBerryLab\CloudBerry Backup Server Edition\"
or
cd "C:\Program Files (x86)\CloudBerryLab\CloudBerry Backup Server Edition\"

For Enterprise Edition:
cd "C:\Program Files\CloudBerryLab\CloudBerry Backup Enterprise Edition\"
or
cd "C:\Program Files (x86)\CloudBerryLab\CloudBerry Backup Enterprise Edition\"

For SQL Edition:
cd "C:\Program Files\CloudBerryLab\ CloudBerry Backup for MS SQL Server\"
or
cd "C:\Program Files (x86)\CloudBerryLab\CloudBerry Backup for MS SQL Server\"

For Exchange Edition:
cd "C:\Program Files\CloudBerryLab\CloudBerry Backup for MS Exchange Server\"
or
cd "C:\Program Files (x86)\CloudBerryLab\CloudBerry Backup for MS Exchange Server\"

For Bare Metal Edition:
cd "C:\Program Files\CloudBerryLab\CloudBerry Backup Bare Metal Edition"
or
cd "C:\Program Files (x86)\CloudBerryLab\CloudBerry Backup Bare Metal Edition"

Note: you can run cbb ? to get some basic help for MSP360 Backup Command Line interface

5. Type cbb activatelicense –e "email" –k "your_license_key" -or to generate offline request. Replace "your_license_key" and "email" with your actual email and license key you received when buying the product. Press "Enter" and don’t close the console.

6. Now you shall see a service key as an output.

7. Send the service key to support@msp360.com.

8. Wait for the reply. You shall receive the product activation key in the message. Copy this key and get back to the Windows console.

9. Type cbb activatelicense -e "email" -k "your_license_key " -oa "activationkey_received" to finish the activation. Replace "your_license_key", "email" and "activationkey_received" with your actual email, license key and product activation key from the email message. Press "Enter" and close the console.

If you’ve done everything correctly your MSP360 Backup shall be active now.

How to Activate MSP360 Drive Offline

1. Click on the Windows "Start" button.

2. Type cmd.exe in the search line to run the Windows console, press "Enter".

3. Type the following command to change your current folder to product installation folder for MSP360 Drive:
cd "C:\Program Files\CloudBerryLab\CloudBerry Drive"

4. Type cbd.exe /activatelicense -e "email" -k "your_license_key" –or to generate offline request. Replace "your_license_key" and "email" with your actual email and license key you received when buying the product. Press "Enter" and don’t close the console.How to Activate MSP360 Drive Offline

5. Now you shall see a service key as an output.
